About the Training & Placement Cell
The Training & Placement (T&P) Cell of Assam Textile Institute (ATI), Guwahati plays a vital role in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional opportunities. The Cell facilitates continuous interaction between the Institute, industries and professional organizations, providing students with systematic support for industrial training, internships, industrial visits, skill development, career guidance, campus recruitment and placement.
Assam Textile Institute offers diploma-level technical education in Textile Technology, Garment Technology and Fashion Technology. The T&P Cell focuses on enhancing students’ technical competence, employability, communication skills, professional behaviour and confidence, thereby preparing them to meet the evolving requirements of the textile, apparel, fashion and allied industries.
The Cell promotes Industry–Institute Interaction through industrial visits, expert lectures, technical sessions, internships, industrial training, campus recruitment drives, industry-oriented workshops and collaborative programmes. These initiatives provide students with exposure to current industrial practices, emerging technologies, workplace requirements and career opportunities.

The T&P Cell is committed to developing long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships with industries, organizations and professional institutions through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). These collaborations provide a structured platform for industrial training, internships, placement, technical skill development, industrial visits, expert lectures, hands-on training, industry-oriented projects and knowledge exchange.
